Ever since she dropped her romantic collaboration, Pink Destiny, with Chase of Nazareth, I've developed mad feelings for Peyton's voice. When you listen to her newest installation "Sweet Honey," it will all make sense. With Chase as the producer bringing his signature style to Sweet Honey, they build on their previously successful collaboration to release a sultry summer tune. Beyond the syrup-like texture of her voice on Sweet Honey, is something that is quite reminiscent of early neo-soul and experimental R&B. It's giving you a little Badu, a little D'Angelo, a little SWV, all mixed with a heavy dose of Peyton. Well, that's enough fan-girl talking from me. Listen for yourself.
