Featured in Bad Girl Confidence this month is Beth Consetta Rubel, a talented and budding professional artist in Austin. In her upcoming exhibition, she focuses on colorism and questions whether racism is embedded in our culture. This is an exhibition worth attending, particularly to support such a young, aspiring creator from the City that keeps it weird.
House of Shakur is an edgy apparel design collective in Austin. Carpe Noctem is Monthly event, a space for "black performance and curated sound that aims to induce the community with a splash of niplash, death drop, and circle twerk escapade."
This evening will be filled with music from resident DJ. This party is in honor of Pam Grier who turns 65 on May 26th.
